Fedora's fiance had seduced Loris's wife and when he caught the two of them together, Fedora's fiance shot him and Loris had to shoot back in self-defense, unintentionally striking him a mortal wound.

He does and she eventually gets him to confess that he did kill Vladimir but only in self-defense when he caught his wife and Vladimir together and Vladimir shot at him. She feels sorry for what she has done. He continues, saying that someone has been stalking him ever since and it has made him a nervous wreck. He wishes that he could return to Russia.

- Synopsis : Loris and Fedora have been living blissfully in love. However, their bliss comes to an end when Fedora finds out that Loris's brother was imprisoned for being an accomplice to the murder of Fedora's ex-fiance, who was actually killed in self-defense by Loris. Loris's brother later died in prison when the dungeon was suddenly flooded. Loris's mother then died from the shock of the news. Fedora prays for him, knowing that she caused his brother to be imprisoned when she still thought Loris was a murderer. She hopes that he will be saved from the tragedy she has brought upon his life.
