Il cavallo scalpita, Alfio's aria from Cavalleria Rusticana

Il cavallo scalpita, The horse paws the ground,
I sonagli squillano, The bells ring out,
Schiocchi la frusta. Ehi la! The whip cracks!
Soffi il vento gelido, The cold wind blows,
Cada l'acqua o nevichi, Snow or rain falls,
A me che cosa fa? What's it to me?

M'aspetta a casa Lola Lola waits for me at home,
Che m'ama e mi consola, She loves and consoles me,
Ch'è tutta fedeltà. Completely faithful.
Il cavallo scalpiti, The horse paws the ground,
I sonagli squillino, The bells ring out,
E Pasqua, ed io son qua ! It's Easter, and I am home!
